It occurs to me that developing as Trainers, and afternoon teas, share more in common than I first pointed out in my recent article, 'Is your Training Team offering a Cream Tea service?' Plate One - Sandwiches. This is the foundation of the feast, it’s where most Trainers start their career. Literary offering bread and butter training: Inductions, policies and process training. There may be some variety but new Trainers often stick to what they know works until they are confident enough to create their own versions.
Plate Two - Scones. Although this looks like less choice, it's a much larger portion. It also creates more discussion and the possibilities of challenge. (Jam then Cream, or Cream then Jam?) Training skills come into their own here. (See previous article.) Plate Three - Petit fours. Ohhh the delight of those small mouthfuls of delicious tastiness. Delivered with care and expertise. It takes expertise to create just the right size, with just the right flavours. Trainers who self-develop and gain mentoring will perfect these with time. So, which ever plate your Training Team are on, if you're looking to craft them into Petit four perfecters, let's book our own afternoon tea and have a chat. Comments are closed.
