So, the g'zillion poppy seeds I scattered around the garden several years ago, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings, have only just decided to grow! (Three years later!) Granted, I didn't exactly create the right growing environment for these little seeds, it was more of a case of shaking the packets at the ground and hoping for the best!
It strikes me that, just as in training, if we plant the seed, we expect it to develop and grow regardless of conditions! When in fact we should be spending more effort on the basics such as: adapting the soil, watering when needed and maybe even reading the packet! Then, just then, maybe these little seeds will develop sooner and blossom into the amazing flowers they were destined to be! (For more rambling from Curious Lighthouse head over to the blogs page!)
