If you are an experienced trainer, facilitator, educator, or coach than all you need are good facilitation skills and a decent understanding of how LEGO® Serious Play® mythology works. The even better news, is that by attending the LEGO® Serious Play® One-Day Workshop, you can gain that understanding and leave the day with all the knowledge you'll need to get started straight away. "I recently attended Nikie's 'LEGO® Serious Play®' / 'Learning with LEGO®' session. I've been using LEGO in a few ways in training for the last few years, but wanted to gain a greater understanding and more ideas of how to harness its power for helping people learn.
Before I even get onto what I learned on the day, Nikie's set up and Learner Journey was a masterclass in how to do it right! From video welcome messages to really thoughtful gathering of info about her learners, to reassuring us about what would happen on the day and having us arrive in the right frame of mind, I couldn't fault any of it.
The day itself was insightful, impactful and thoroughly enjoyable. By keeping the group size small and through the complete psychological safety that had been built both before and in the early stages of the workshop, I felt comfortable that there were no silly questions, just learning. Also that no matter how lacking in creativity some of my models may have been, it was the thought process, meaning and interpretation behind my arranging of the bricks that was important and not how perfect the end model was that was important (good job!!)
I left feeling far more confident in how I can use this additional string to my bow, to generate greater learning experiences and outcomes for my own clients. My head was buzzing for all of the 3 hour journey home and beyond!

- This workshop is suitable for experienced Trainers, Facilitators, Educators, & Coaches who have a good understanding of how people learn and who are be able to take a concept and apply it to your own area of expertise.
Do you have to be certified to host a LEGO® Serious Play® event?
- No. You don't need to be certified to host a LEGO® Serious Play® event. As long as you can facilitate, and you are following the LEGO® Serious Play® methodology and principles, you can host a LEGO® Serious Play® event.
How does the LEGO® Serious Play® One-day workshop differ from other certification courses?
- The One-day workshop is designed specifically for experienced Trainers, Facilitators, Educators, and Coaches, allowing a deeper focus on the LSP method and its practical application. In contrast, certification courses are open to all levels of experience and prioritize developing general facilitation skills alongside teaching the LSP method, requiring more time and running at a much higher costs.
Do I need prior experience with LEGO® to participate?
- Nope. The LEGO® bricks are a prop to aid learning. You do not need to have any prior experience of handling or playing with LEGO® .
Are the venues accessible?
- Where possible venues have been chosen where accessible access is available. However, sometime this can be tricky due to the nature of the venue, so please always check before booking.
How long does the workshop typically last?
- The workshop starts at 09.30 and ends around 16.30 with several breaks for refreshments and lunch.
What materials or tools are provided during the workshop?
- Everything you need to participate is included in the workshop e.g. Notebook, pen, LEGO® Serious Play® Start Kit and step-by-step guide book. If you want to bring along anything that will aid your own learning, feel free.
Can this workshop be customised for specific team or organisational needs?
- Yes. This day can be run as it currently stands, as a one-day event, or it can be tailored to the needs of your organisation. (Max number 8 see info below.)
Do I get a certificate after completing the workshop?
- You’ll get a ‘Certificate of Participation’ emailed to you after the event.
Is there any follow-up support after the workshop?
- Yes, there is a 1:1 virtual call (90 mins) that you can book in at any time to discuss an upcoming LSP workshop or recap on the basics etc.
What is the maximum number of participants allowed in a session?
- In these open workshops, I set a max number of 6 participants. This allows us to have much better conversations about the method and how to apply it back with your own learners and clients.
Where are the workshops held, and are there online options?
- All workshops are currently face-to-face and run in several locations around England. If there is a specific location you are interested in please fill out the form below and claim your interest. This way I can see where the demand is and put on more workshops.

Will refreshments and lunch be provides?
- Yes. You will be asked for any dietary requirements close to the time of the workshop.
How do I book a session or inquire further?
- To book, simply click on the button on this page.
Am I able to cancel an Open Workshop booking and get a refund?
- A full refund is offered for any booking cancelled more than six weeks before the workshop date.
- A 50% refund of the full booking cost will be offered for any booking cancelled with less than six weeks till the workshop date.
- There will be no refunds, in full or partial, for non attendance on the day of the workshop.
Can I change the date?
- If there are spaces available on the new date and the request to transfer is made more than six weeks before the workshop date then you will be moved to the new date and no fee will be charged for the amendment.
- If the request is made with less than six weeks till the workshop date, and there are spaces available on the new date, the booking will be amended but a 20% surcharge will be applied. This charge must be paid before the revised date place is confirmed. (This is cover the cost of the venue which is confirmed 6 weeks prior to the event.)
- If there are no spaces available on your new preferred date, any refund will be subject to the statements above. The Curious Lighthouse Learning Consultancy accepts no liability for any costs incurred, or losses, as a result of the new preferred date not being available.
- Yes, you can nominate someone to attend in your place. The Curious Lighthouse Learning Consultancy accepts no responsibility for any monetary transactions required as a result of you nominating an alternative attendee; you will need to ensure that your nominee reimburses you directly for the cost of the course.
