The LEGO® Serious Play® One-Day Workshop was born out of frustration...Many years ago, I came across LSP and instantly liked the idea. I went down a rabbit hole researching the topic and came across the LEGO groups Open-Source document outlining how it works, but wanted to see if there was any training on it to help fill in the gaps and have a practice before giving it go on a live audience. What I found were a host of providers all talking about 'Certified' courses, or becoming 'accredited' in LSP. (SPOILER ALERT... You do not need to be certified or accredited in LSP to use it!) They all boosted multiple day programmes costing £££ and from what I could tell focused heavily on facilitation skills… which as an experienced trainer and facilitator, I didn’t need. So, I started trying it out for myself based on the Open-source doc, small at first and then building confidence as I started working with others in the LSP community, and adding my own 'learners first' approach to the method. After years of trailing and testing it in an L&D setting, I found myself talking to my peers, who just like me, were now looking for the chance to learn, and test it out in a safe environment, without the need to follow one companies’ version, or spend a small fortune on a certificate they didn't need... And that my friends is how the LSP one day workshop was born! So, to answer the question how is the LSP One-Day Workshop different?... Here we go... Like-minded |
